Maybe it's time to lower the bar.  

To stop expecting experiences, relationships, and events in your life to be a certain way.

Maybe you need to give up the fantasy of how you 'think' it's supposed to feel.

And just lower those expectations

 In this Episode 56: Lower Your Expectations, I discuss:
*my challenge of the holiday season with sick kids, sick me, and the insanity of it all with 2 little boys and no family around 
*why comparison to others' images on Facebook is one of the worst things you can do in determining if your expectation of an experience or relationship is being met 
*why lowering your expectation may be the best option, particularly when going into situations that you know are going to be stressful
 

MORE TIP:  

Choose ONE DAY (maybe even TODAY) that you have ZERO expectations of EVERYTHING about your day. 

Instead, choose to BE PRESENT, and experience Life as it unfolds. 

The next day, go back to holding those expectations high, and your blaming, shaming, and guilt-ridden experience.

Boy, am I ever hard on myself. 

I think that if I stop pushing at this insane pace, that I will never get things done.

*that the frustration, anger, and exhaustion I'm experiencing is a result of it
*and that really, this is all just because of the STORY that I tell myself (that if I slow down, I won't get things done)
*and that really, the opposite is true
*the solution I'm taking to create a scheduled PAUSE in each and every one of my days

*that the world is full of people who talk a good game, but never actually pull the trigger and DO something
*the myth that you have to 'know' everything before you actually do it (and this is just an excuse for not doing the work) 
*the best way to learn something new or take on a new challenge is by TAKING ACTION vs. waiting until you have the time, money or resources before you make a move (which are all just the lies you tell yourself that allows you to not take action)
 
 MORE TIP:  
WHAT goal, special project, or task do you have that you want to get done in your life? 
Take ONE step TODAY to start moving towards this goal. 
No, not tomorrow. 
TODAY. 
ONE action step.

Think of a tough situation you have had in your Life today, this week, or this month. 
 
Ask yourself the following questions about it: 
WHAT was it?
Just the facts of what happened, not your story of the facts.  
WHY did it happen? 
Positively reframe the situation
WHAT is the LESSON learned from it? 
How can you APPLY this lesson to the areas of Body, Being, Balance, and Business?

WHY did I do that? 

Alright, time to lighten it up.

It's been a little heavy.

And yes, life can be heavy.

As much as I feel strongly about feeling what you feel in order to move forward, you also need to learn how to laugh through the pain.

*the power that the Universe has to deliver you message of hope, laughter, and an overall message of "it's gonna be okay", if you open your eyes wide to seem them

What has been a challenge for you this week? 

Find the humor, even if it's sarcasm. 

Laugh through the pain. 

Really.....I know, find the bright side? Nope. 

No, you still need to acknowledge what is, feel what you feel.  Do not for a second deny or squash what you are feeling 

But, even if just for a moment in the chaos and pain....find the humor. And just laugh.

WHY did I do that? 

WHY did I say that? 

WHY did I not do the work to get me to my goals, when really, I KNOW what I need to do? 

The past is gone, sister.  

You gotta live right here.  Right now.

*that many women try to figure out the WHY of where they are in their life right now
*how trying to figure out WHY you did something, when you 'knew better', is pointless and a waste of time

*the best thing you can EVER do is take action on moving to where you want to go and what you want versus wallowing in your misery to where you were in the past
 
 
 MORE TIP:  

Pick ONE goal you want to achieve within the next 90 days. 

This goal has to be measurable, objective, and realistic. 

Drop your Story of why you didn't reach this goal yet in the past, and pick ONE action step you can do TODAY to move you closer to this goal.

So you've been doing your MORE Four. 

Doing the MORE Tips with each epsiode, and starting to do the work of Having it All. 

And things have been cruising right along, and then.....

 In this Episode 48: Why Expansion is Hard, I discuss:
*my recent meltdown after a crazy 2 weeks of insane pace, and a massive push towards 2 major targets/goals
*the reflection that this was Expansion that I was experiencing from it that I discovered the next morning when I reflected on it 
*that a life of Having it All is FULL of moments of expansion....which can be painful 
*but that the Fruit of all your hard work is well worth the pain of periodic expansion when you Level Up on a consistent basis
 
 MORE TIP:  

 

WHAT recent experience have you had that resulted in a fight with your spouse, losing your patience with your kids or friends, or just a complete meltdown? 
 
Give yourself a day (or less) to reflect on it, sleep on it, journal about it. 
I double dog dare you...it's expansion, sister. 
 
And you are going through completely normal stuff. 
Welcome to a Life of Having it All...the price is steep, but the payoff is huge. 
Keep going.

But perhaps there's another layer you need to find, and it's time to GO DEEPER.

Afraid to rock the boat. 

Afraid to offend. 

Afraid to upset. 

Don't you think it's about time we started being HONEST with each other, and tell the TRUTH?
